What we have set out to achieve and how you can help us

How we aim to raise €10M for the Virtual Hospital

We are bringing together the Nordic private sector and leading foundations to make this initiative a reality. With equal contributions from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, Nadija stands as a truly Nordic effort to transform children’s mental health and rehabilitation.

Why you should contribute and make this happen

Restore hope and save the future of children affected by war

We have a responsibility to act. Millions of children are growing up under the shadow of war, but it is possible to support their healing and help them grow into healthy, resilient adults. This will not happen on its own. With the right care at the right time, we can restore hope and protect their future.

Support and create new knowledge beyond Ukraine

The insights gained through Nadija will extend well beyond the current crisis. By building new models of care and research, we will be better equipped to respond to trauma caused by future disasters – whether war, displacement, climate emergencies, or violence. The long-term potential reach spans hundreds of millions of children globally.

Create a brighter and more resilient future for everyone

When we invest in the recovery of children harmed by war, we are not only helping them, we are strengthening society as a whole. This initiative builds bridges between countries, disciplines, and communities. It is a shared investment in resilience, compassion, and a future where no child is left behind.

Some of our donors already making it happen

Ukraine’s children left with scars on their hearts and wounds on their bodies – victims of trafficking, sexual exploitation and abduction, deprived of stability, safety, school, friends, family and home. They are struggling to live in the midst of violence, bombings and shellings. They bear trauma that can be healed with the help of medical professionals. Modern children’s hospital in Ukraine, providing mental health care, rehabilitation and specialized surgery will be a hand for children in their survival fight and a chance to recover.
